What makes Farley’s special? Our mission is to make the communities where we do business better places to live and work. We fulfill that mission by doing a lot of things you won’t find everywhere else. Our community has shaped Farley’s into a unique experience people love.
Farley’s has a long history of having fun! One of our favorite events is the Annual Pet Parade. The Saturday before Halloween, as many as 80 costumed dogs and their owners parade up 18th Street from Connecticut to Texas to compete for trophies. We also hand out Halloween candy, Santa greets children on the parklet, and every Fourth of July we put on a Safe and Sane Fireworks display. To celebrate Farley’s SF’s anniversary, we start Saint Patrick’s Day with live bagpipes and Irish pub music.
We carry over 400 titles across our two locations. Customers love being able to buy publications on almost any topic, or just browsing for inspiration while enjoying their time at our cafe.
Farley’s has parklets at it’s SF and Oakland locations. The parklets were built as part of a city program called Pavement to Parks to create green space in urban centers. The Farley’s SF parklet is the only parklet in SF built on a steep grade, and the Farley’s East parklet is the first parklet established in Oakland. They create an urban vibe that communicates our commitment to creating comfortable, human spaces for the community to gather and be in a relationship.
Non-Profit of the Month
At each of our locations we invite local non-profit organizations to create a display to spread the word about the work they do in the community. We donate a portion of our sales to support them while they make our communities better places to live and work.
Art Music and More
Local artists, musicians, poets, storytellers, comedians and entertainers have graced the walls and spaces of Farley’s, where we’re proud to provide a platform for the creative talents of our community.
Cups Around the World
Farley’s cups have made it to every continent around the world and we have the photos to prove it!
For years, the windows at Farley’s have featured monthly exhibits of curiosities and collections ranging from antique lunch boxes to taxicab lights to information on local non-profits.
