| Artist of the Month - Farley's East |
Tay Hoang| Photography
I grew up expressing my creative energy in many art media, including drawing, painting, charcoal, pastel, and prisma colors. After studying sociology at UC Santa Cruz, I began my photography journey by travelling the world from Europe, through central Asia, and to Southeast Asia. I’m a freelance photographer based out of the Bay Area, California. All my creative energy and passion has transformed into photography producing quality images. After 10 years, my passion from travelling continues to drive me to create quality artistic photographs with a photojournalistic perspective, and my creative energy has produced fine artistic photography.

East Bay Mediation Center
Founded in a celebration of diversity, the East Bay Meditation Center welcomes everyone seeking to end suffering and cultivate happiness. Our mission is to foster liberation, personal and interpersonal healing, social action, and inclusive community building. We offer mindfulness practices and teachings on wisdom and compassion from Buddhist and other spiritual traditions. Rooted in our commitment to diversity, we operate with transparent democratic governance, generosity-based economics, and environmental sustainability.
EBMC offers weekly sitting groups for communities to learn and practice mindfulness meditation together as well as classes, workshop series and daylong retreats offering teachings on mindfulness, love, liberation and skillful social transformation. There is no registration fee for these events; we encourage and rely on joyful generosity as people are moved to give according to their resources and means.
