ON THE TOWN ... With Cynthia Talmadge, Boxer pulls no punches on her favorites

Third-generation Potrero Hill resident, Cynthia Talmadge , is the No. 4 ranked boxer in the United States and is featured in a recent Chronicle article highlighting her favorite spots around town:

"These are the places to spot the fighter until then.

'Some of my secrets to stay in top boxing condition include the following known and not-so-well-known places in and around Potrero Hill,'" Talmadge confided recently by e-mail."

'When I'm not training, I can be found at Farley's, the spot where I go to have a cup of tea with my best girls -- you know, kind of like session talk with the girls. I like Farley's because of the chill atmosphere -- the artwork and photography on the walls and sometimes the live music or spoken words.' "

Wish her well in her championship pursuit!
