Wednesday, August 1st – Live music: Jazz with Steve Kim featuring a solo set and a set with guitarist David Yamasaki from Honolulu who is currently teaching at the Stanford University Jazz Camp. Join us for this special concert, 7pm. www.kimpossibilities.net

Wednesday, August 15th – Live music: Charlie Owen Band. Rhythm & Blues/60's soul music, featuring Katie Guthorn and Kathy Kennedy from Potrero Hill's Voice Studio and Todd Swenson on guitar, 8pm.

Thursday, August 16th – Art reception: Photographer, Richard Bluecloud Castaneda. "Stop and go" is a collection of both Polaroids and film captures. Digitally reproduced for this exhibit. Poetry reading by Jen Foester and friends, 7pm.

Thursday, August 23rd – Live music: Big Bones, “ Da Bone-a-Fides ”, featuring the three for one world debut: Mama Bones, Emely Bones & Big Bones. Live blues like you have never heard before, 7pm.

Artist of the Month: Photographer Richard Bluecloud Castaneda: "Stop and Go"

"Stop and go" is a collection of both Polaroids and film captures. Digitally reproduced for this exhibit. Photographer Richard Bluecloud Castaneda , brings together some of his works as part of an intro to a recent project he started last year. His statement of "stop and go" is about mixing elements of people, place and time, to stop individuals for a moment in their daily routines, and to do something strange like pose for a stranger. The outcome is usually unpredictable, but the moment becomes a reflection. Reception on Thursday, August 16th at 7pm includes a poetry reading by Jen Foester and friends.
