Manager’s Corner by Jillian
Well, now we are in the thick of it. Families are coming together, Christmas carols are playing in every grocery store aisle, fruitcake is sitting heavily, waiting for some poor soul to take a chance on it (I happen to love fruitcake, actually), and of course we here at Farley’s are gearing up for the Holiday and enjoying the festive art show that the Janet Pomeroy Center puts on every year.
This season Farley’s has a lot in the way of gift ideas for your special someone—or yourself:
We have the “I’m not a Paper Cup” travel mugs, which are porcelain and insulated. They are only fifteen bucks and I have been told that we are selling them cheaper than anyone else in the city.
Also, all of our stovetop espresso makers, tea brewing accessories, and French presses are 25% off. You can’t beat that, so heads up to all you gift givers out there.
And has anyone seen the red and black plastic coffee brewers hanging by the condiment bar? Those make good gifts too for that someone in your life that needs a single amazing cup of coffee, like, now. They are also great to go camping with.
Don’t forget Farley’s T-shirts, sweatshirts and gift certificates available in the shop and online.
Our annual staff holiday party will be taking place Friday, December 19th. We will be closing at 8pm that evening so the entire staff can go play pinball!
Once again the coffee of the week will be Organic Mexican Dark Roast December 1st-7th. Can you tell this is my favorite? I know many of you like it too.
Potrero Hill seems to shine a little brighter during the holiday season. It continues to be a warm and welcoming place to folks that have lived on the hill for decades and some who just moved in next door yesterday. These close relationships make Farley’s a great place to drink coffee and work. Best wishes for a Happy Holiday and prosperous New Year from all of us at Farley’s.
SF Firefighters Toy Program
Once again, Farley’s will be supporting the SF Firefighters toy program. Look for the barrel located at the front door for toy donations to kids of any age.
Lights
Get in the spirit early, check out Farley’s holiday lights brightening up 18th Street.
Thank You!
Employees, Josh, Bert and Sophie worked hard serving Farley’s faithful on Thanksgiving Day. Their efforts and your generosity generated $375.24 in tips which will be donated to the San Francisco Food Bank. Thanks for your generous tips and a special thanks to the staff.
