Farley’s East is Coming! Yes, the rumors are true. We are opening a shop in Oakland in the Uptown district. With many of our regular customers moving to Oakland over the last twenty years, it only seems right that we offer them a shorter commute. For all you Oaklandish folks out there, send us your thoughts and suggestions for Farley’s East. Hope to see you all there in the Spring. Keep track of our progress at: http://farleyseast.blogspot.com/
Manager’s Corner
Hi all. It’s 2009. Christmas and New Year’s are behind us and we begin another year with our eyes and hearts to the future. I am sure many of you out there have a few resolutions...I had better stock up on decaf. It’s true—every January many of our coffee drinkers switch to decaf brew. How many are able to keep it that way, I won’t say.
Though the traditional holidays are over, some of the best are yet to come. Farley’s is having its 20th anniversary! March 17th, better known as Saint Patrick’s Day, is also our birthday. What can be expected on this very special day? Live music, limited edition Farley’s hoodies, a bagpiper and lots and lots of green. It’s always an exciting day, so save the date and come celebrate with us!
In staff news, Frank has just taken the LSAT so we are very proud and rooting for him and Hannah has been tattooing up a storm. As usual, all of us at Farley’s have many projects we are always working on. It helps to work at a coffee house where we can stay permanently caffeinated.
And last, but not least, the coffee of the week is Organic Peruvian Dark Roast from the 1st through the 7th. So you can begin that first day of 2009 trying to remember what you did the night before with a cup of strong dark coffee.
Best to you and yours in the New Years!
