Tuesday, November 4th – Election Day….get out and vote! In the spirit of the old “Daily Scoop”, bring in your voter receipt for a free cup of coffee.
Friday, November 7th - Live Music: The Ambassador of Trouts. Meet The Ambassador of Trouts, a spectacle of rhythm and harmony, melody and noise. It is a mélange of carefully prepared sound layers and in the moment improvisation. Music begins at 7pm. www.theambassadoroftrouts.com
Sunday, November 9th: Live music with "Presidents Breakfast" - our Sunday afternoon concert series continues with jazz by this long time favorite group. 2pm
Wednesday, November 12th - An Evening of Storytelling: Finding the Story in the Facts featuring Bill Avarado, Kate Frankel, Maria Minder, Leigh Radtke, Susan Ford and Ron Jones telling folktales, myths, personal stories and spoken word 7-9 pm. Saturday, November 22nd – Live Music: “Living Proof,” featuring Potrero Hill’s own Julian Diamond, is a San Francisco based band of teen musicians who “flat out rock.” The six member band is a product of a 2007 summer music camp offered by Young Performers International. Lead vocals are held down by Ameilia Whitehead, guitars by Jeremy Lyon and Julian Diamond, bass by Ben Holiday, keyboards by Jacob Clinton and drums by Elliott Pennington. “Living Proof” plays a variety of rock tunes from the Beatles and Stones to more esoteric favorites, even an original or two. See you at the show at 7pm.
Thursday, November 27th - Thanksgiving Day: Farley's is open from 8AM until 2PM. Continuing our annual tradition, all tips will be donated to the San Francisco Food Bank, the organization on Potrero Hill that supplies food to all the organizations that feed the hungry. Nearly 150,000 people in San Francisco live with the threat of hunger. The San Francisco Food Bank exists to provide hope. Tip generously to support their efforts to fight to end hunger.
Friday, November 28th – Post-Thanksgiving Day: Sleep and recover, then stop by Farley's – we’re open 8AM until 10PM.
Saturday, November 29th: Open mic comedy night, hosted by Liz Grant. Discover new and veteran comics in SF’s hopping comedy scene as they try new material at the only open mic in the city on Saturdays. Newbies warmly welcomed! 7:30pm
Christopher Irion’s Photo Booth Show Christopher Irion features pictures from the 18th Annual Pet Fest. Kids & pets decked out, looking good & looking silly. These photos, over 1,000 were taken, are well worth seeing whether you were there or not! If you had your photo taken, come to the reception to collect your photo free of charge compliments of Christopher.
Reception: “Take Down Party” Tuesday, December 2nd at 7PM…also a benefit for the Potrero Branch of the San Francisco Public Library.

Hello out there. How quickly time has passed. November is upon us along with the bustling holiday season.
As usual this year Farley’s will be open from 8am to 2pm on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th. All tips will be donated to the San Francisco Food Bank so come in for your coffee and pastries and tip generously! Thanksgiving is a really fun day here and we are all looking forward to it.
In case you haven’t noticed, we are having a 25% off sale on all brewing equipment. This means, French presses, stovetop espresso makers and tea brewing accessories. At this price, they are a steal and with the holidays coming up now is the time to stock up.
November’s coffee of the week will be Organic Peruvian Dark Roast. From November 1st through the 7th we will be brewing Organic Peruvian Dark Roast in addition to Jacks House. This coffee is rich a flavorful and is roasted especially for us.
Also, I want to remind everyone about the free magazine bin! All of you design buffs, fashionistas, and folks who just like free stuff, come and rummage through the crate of free mags.
And last but not least Daylight Savings ends November 2nd, so set your clocks back and sleep in that extra hour. I know we all need it!
