The month of October brings with it some changes. Hopefully some warmer weather before we head directly into fall, but also some changes here at Farley’s As of October 1st, due to rising costs, we will be increasing prices on many of our beverages. On the upside—house coffee, hot tea, lattes and cappuccinos will remain the same price and as always, you can come up and get your free refill.
The biggest event of the year is coming up! For those of you who love Halloween and have pets, this is your party. Saturday, October 25th we will be hosting our annual pet parade. This is the one day when you will see a Chihuahua in a tutu walking down 18th street. Come on out and join us!
Some of you may have already noticed our new addition. Or maybe you have noticed that the music sounds particularly good. We now have a good old-fashioned turntable! To celebrate our love of all genres of music, we will be hosting our first-ever music drive. Here’s how it works:
1. Beginning October 1st, there will be a collection box on the counter where you can drop off mix CDs in exchange for a free cup of drip coffee. Any music genre is accepted.
2. The CD must be in a case and accompanied by a track list and your name.
3. One CD per customer, so no you can’t make a CD everyday and get free coffee every day.
4. Also, we don’t want the CD your ex made for you when you still liked each other. That’s just awkward.
5. Once you drop off your CD, we own it. No originals, please.
6. So dig through your music collection or iTunes, and help us save the world one 80’s song at a time!
To add another freebie to the Farley’s repertoire, we will be setting out a bin of perfectly readable magazines for free! There’s just one hitch—the cover has been torn off. The magazine bin will be located next to the coffee grounds bin. Have fun rummaging!
Last, but not least, I can’t forget the coffee of the week. October 1st through 7th we will be serving the favorite Organic Mexican Dark Roast in addition to Jack’s House Blend.
See you in the shop!
