Big Labor Day weekend featuring Potrero Hill book signing.
September 4th Sunday: Book signing 6-8PM. Join us to celebrate the recent publication of “San Francisco’s Potrero Hill.” Authors, Peter Linenthal and Abigail Johnston, will share anecdotes about the making of this local history book and answer questions. Come join the community in supporting local history and local historians.
September 5th Monday: Labor Day, Farley’s will be open 8AM-10PM.
September 9th Friday: Live jazz with the Stephon Alexander Quartet featuring Chris Amberger of the Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers playing the music of Miles and Trane, 7:30PM
September 9th Friday: Thanks and happy birthday to John, 82 years old today. Many of you know and see John as he lovingly cares for 18th Street. Sweeping, cleaning, watering and picking up trash. Let John know how much you appreciate this; tell him thanks and happy birthday.
September 17th Saturday: Live music: Matt Lax and Nearly Beloved, including Potrero Hill’s own Rob Gardner, play tunes from their new CD “Hurricane and a Tumbleweed” 7PM.

September 24th Saturday: Live music, Cory Combs and Friends. This months show hosts The San Francisco Bass Trio, featuring Cory Combs on bass and cello, Drew Waters on Bass and Jason Muscat on Bass. The trio will be playing a combination of originals, Brazilian classics and old swing tunes, 2PM.
September 28th Wednesday: Study Hall. In honor of the back to school season, Farley’s is hosting a study hall night. Bring your books and start your school year off right, 7PM.

Display of the Month
This
month’s window display is from Tricia Atlas and combines gorgeous
remnants from nature, mysterious man-made artifacts and compositions
riffing off these natural and artificial objects. Some images (paintings,
photographs and computer graphics) appear on mugs and other everyday items
thrown in the mix. Enjoy all the color and form found in the old and the
